Ontario Provincial Police have arrested an 18-year member of the Barrie Police Service in connection to off-duty incidents.
The member whose identity has not been disclosed, was arrested on Thursday. They are up for six charges in connection to alleged domestic-related incidents that occurred off-duty between 2015 and 2023.
Officials say the member was released on conditions and has been suspended with pay as per the Police Services Act. Police say this act was the legislation in place at the time of their allegations.
Due to the nature of the incidents, the Barrie Police Service says they will not be providing any further information.
