Two tractor-trailers were destroyed by fire in Oro-Medonte over the weekend.

Two tractor-trailer trucks were destroyed by fire in Oro-Medonte Township.

With no fire hydrants in the area, water had to be trucked in to extinguish the blaze, said Fire Chief Roree Payment.

“It’s unsure how the (fire) started, but it’s not considered suspicious,” Payment said.

With three fire trucks and approximately 15 firefighters on the scene, said the crews quickly knocked down the fire.

Only the trucks were damaged at the local business, and he estimates the cost to be about $300,000 in damage.
