Singer-songwriter Matt Mays has closed out every summer for the last two decades with performances at the legendary Shore Club in Hubbards, N.S. This year, he’ll mark 20 years of shows at the iconic venue with a two-night celebration under the stars featuring The Sheepdogs and Kathleen Edwards.
Set for Friday, Aug. 22, and Saturday, Aug. 23, this year’s event, dubbed “The Sundown Salute,” is moving outside the Shore Club for an even bigger show. Mays is promising the kind of electric, sweat-soaked energy that has made his annual gigs a can’t-miss East Coast tradition.
“Well, folks, we decided to go big this year,” Mays shared in an Instagram post.
“Twenty years of us wildly celebrating the end of summer together at the Shore Club. We want this to be the best celebration in the history of summers, and with your help, I’m pretty sure we can make that happen. I look forward to singing our faces off together like always, but this time under the stars.”

A true Nova Scotia landmark, the Shore Club has been hosting live music and lobster suppers for nearly 80 years.
One dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, supporting mental health and addictions programs across the province.
