You Oughta Know: Alanis Morissette headlining P.E.I. festival in September

Alanis Morissette will be headlining Sommo Festival in Prince Edward Island this September.

Fans of Alanis Morissette might fall head over feet to get tickets to the Sommo Festival in Prince Edward Island as the Canadian musician will be headlining the event this September.

Whitecap Entertainment announced Morissette will headline Saturday night at the two-day festival in Cavendish.

Morissette best known for her multi-platinum record “Jagged Little Pill” in 1995, is a seven-time Grammy award winner. She was inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame in 2005.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Alanis Morissette to the island this summer,” said Ben Murphy, CEO of Whitecap Entertainment, in a news release. “Alanis is a legendary Canadian icon and we know that her fans across Atlantic Canada are going to be buzzing with excitement to see her bring her biggest hits to life on stage this September.”

Whitecap has also announced the Hozier will headline Sommo, which will be held on Sept. 13 and 14.
