Man charged after fentanyl, cocaine seized from Charlottetown home

A man is facing charges after a drug bust in Charlottetown, P.E.I., on Wednesday.

Charlottetown Police Services has charged a man after drugs and weapons were seized from a home in the city.

Police searched a home on King Street around 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

During the search, police say they seized:

- 29.7 grams of fentanyl

- 5.6 grams of cocaine

- a small quantity of crystal methamphetamine

- three replica firearms

- a crossbow

- two cellphones

- multiple tools that are believed to be stolen

As a result of the investigation, the force says 36-year-old Donald Lutes has been charged with:

- possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking

- possession of cocaine

- possession of crystal methamphetamine

- breach of probation

Police say they continue to investigate the possible stolen tools, which may result in more charges.

Lutes appeared in court Thursday for a bail hearing. He was remanded into custody and will return to court at a later date.
