The Charlottetown Airport saw another record-breaking year for passenger numbers in 2024 as it welcomed more than 400,000 people through its doors.
The Charlottetown Airport Authority says 410,773 passengers voyaged through the P.E.I. airport in 2024, which generated more than $366 million in total economic impact for the province.
In 2023 the airport saw 402,686 passengers and in 2022 it had 341,649, according to previous news releases. The 2024 passenger numbers represent a 7.2 per cent increase over the 2019 numbers.
The Charlottetown Airport currently has Air Canada, Porter, WestJet and Flair, which operate across six destinations.
In 2024 the airport started Phase 1b of its air terminal building expansion project.
