A water leak has closed the Dartmouth North Public Library for an undetermined amount of time.

Halifax Public Libraries announced on its website the library at 105 Highfield Park Drive would be closed from Friday to Wednesday due to “building issues.”

In an email, communications officer Anna Keddy said workers are assessing a leak at the library and it’s unknown for how long the library will be closed.

“We will post updates to the community on the Library website, and encourage all community members to check their local Library’s hours before leaving for a visit,” Keddy said.
