Police in Halifax are still trying to solve the murder of a man who was shot and killed in Dartmouth, N.S., two years ago.
Halifax Regional Police responded to the shooting on Lahey Road around 11:20 p.m. on Feb. 4, 2023.
Police found a man with gunshot wounds outside a home. Nathaniel Maurice Brown, 36, died at the scene. His death was ruled a homicide.
Investigators say the shooting was not a random incident and they believe there are people who have information that could help solve the case.
“They are asking anyone with information to do the right thing and come forward with what they know; even the smallest piece of information could be the key to progressing the investigation into Nathaniel’s homicide,” said Halifax police in a news release Tuesday.
Brown’s murder is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, which offers a cash reward of up to $150,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in certain criminal cases.
Halifax police are asking anyone with information about the murder of Nathaniel Brown to contact them at 902-490-5020 or the rewards program at 1-888-710-9090.
