N.S. woman dies after vehicle leaves highway in Upper Rawdon

A 40-year-old woman has died after her vehicle left a Nova Scotia highway Wednesday afternoon.

East Hants District RCMP responded to the single-vehicle collision on Highway 14 in Upper Rawdon, N.S., around 2:30 p.m.

Police say the woman’s Hyundai Tucson left the road and landed on its roof in the ditch.

Bystanders and first responders administered first aid to the woman, but police say she died at the scene.

Highway 14 was closed for several hours Wednesday. It has since reopened.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
