A 35-year-old man is facing charges after police say he fled the scene of a collision in Spryfield, N.S.
Halifax Regional Police responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 500 block of Old Sambro Road around 1 p.m. Monday.
Police say a 51-year-old woman, who was the driver of one of the vehicles, was taken to hospital with what are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were seen leaving the scene on foot and fleeing into nearby woods, according to an RCMP news release.
About an hour after the crash, police say officers found both people in the woods and arrested Scott Creamer, who police say was driving the second vehicle.
The passenger was released without charges and treated by paramedics for non-life-threatening injuries.
Creamer appeared in Halifax provincial court Tuesday to face charges of:
- operation of a conveyance while prohibited
- operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm
- failure to comply with probation order
- obstruct public-peace officer
- failure to stop after an accident resulting in bodily harm
