Woman, 53, dies after snowmobile collides with moose in northeastern N.B.

A woman died after her snowmobile collided with a moose in New Brunswick on Wednesday.

A 53-year-old woman has died after her snowmobile collided with a moose on a trail in Leech, N.B., late Wednesday night.

Tracadie RCMP, members of the Tracadie Fire Department and paramedics with Ambulance New Brunswick all responded to the collision just before midnight.

Police say the snowmobile driver died at the scene from her injuries. The woman was from Petit-Tracadie, N.B.

The RCMP says the investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the New Brunswick coroner’s office.
