A passenger was injured when ice from a tractor-trailer struck the windshield of another vehicle in Woodside, N.B., Wednesday afternoon.

The RCMP says the incident happened on Highway 15 around 3:30 p.m.

According to police, a large chunk of ice flew off the tractor-trailer and smashed into the windshield of the second vehicle, which was heading in the opposite direction.

The driver was not injured but a male passenger sustained minor injuries.

Police posted a photo of the damage on social media along with a warning to clear ice and snow from vehicles.

The RCMP says it is trying to identify the driver of the tractor-trailer, who could be ticketed under the Motor Vehicle Act.
