Police in New Brunswick are seeking possible witnesses after a firearm was discharged in Moncton Wednesday.

The Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report that a firearm had been discharged towards a business near the 300 block of Mountain Road at about 8:30 a.m.

When they arrived on scene, officers were able to locate a bullet hole in the wall of the business.

Police believe the incident happened overnight and say nobody was inside the business at the time.

The investigation is ongoing, but police believe it was an isolated incident.

The RCMP is looking to speak with anyone who was in the area between the hours of 5:30 p.m. on March 11 and 7:30 a.m. March 12 and who may have dash camera or other video footage. Anyone with information is asked to call Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
