The RCMP in Hampton, N.B., is asking for the public’s help locating a man following an alleged attempt of sexual touching involving a youth earlier this week.
Police say a man approached a youth behind a school on Elizabeth Avenue in Hampton on Monday and requested the youth perform sexual acts in exchange for money.
The force says the youth refused and ran into the school while the suspect ran away from the scene towards Main Street.
Police say the incident happened between 4:40 p.m. and 4:50 p.m.
The RCMP is now asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the man.
The man is described as tall and in his 20s, with a slim build, short black hair and clean shaven.
At the time of the incident, police say he was wearing a light brown jacket, blue jeans and dark-coloured shoes.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, may have video surveillance or dash-camera footage, or has any information that could help with the investigation to contact Hampton RCMP at 506-832-5566 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
