RCMP are seeking witnesses after a man was shot on Mountain Road in Moncton.
Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report that a firearm was discharged in a business parking lot near the 900 block on Mountain Road at approximately 10:22 p.m. Monday, according to a police news release.
Police said a 22-year-old man suffered what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound and was taken from the scene to hospital.
“We are looking to speak to any witnesses to the incident, as well as anyone who was near the 900 block of Mountain Road between 9 and 11 p.m., on March 10, 2025,” said Cpl. Dave Allard. “If you have dash-camera or other video footage from the area at the time of the incident, please call the police.”
Police said the gunshot was an isolated incident and there is no further risk to the public.
Anyone who was in the area, witnessed the incident, or has information that could help further the investigation is asked to call the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.
