Man killed in rollover near Saint John

There were two fatal crashes within an hour of each other over the weekend in New Brunswick.

A man has died after a single vehicle rollover in the Lepreau, N.B., area early Saturday morning.

The Musquash Fire Department (MFD) said crews were called shortly after 2 a.m. to Highway 1. It said MFD provided extrication and traffic control.

“Regrettably, upon arrival there was one adult male victim,” read a news release Saturday.

The fire department said power tools were used to remove the damaged guardrail. Ambulance NB and RCMP were also called to the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Lepreau is about 40 kilometres west of Saint John.
