The East Coast Music Association announced the nominees for the 37th annual East Coast Music Awards Wednesday.
Classified and Jeremy Dutcher lead the pack with eight nominations each, while Kellie Loder, Jah’Mila, Maggie Andrew, and Vishtèn each garnered six nominations.
Both Classified and Dutcher are up for Release of the Year, Solo Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Fans’ Choice Video of the Year.
Classified is also nominated for:
- Album of the Year
- Producer of the Year
- Rap / Hip-Hop release of the Year
- Content Creator of the Year

Dutcher has been named in the following categories:
- Classical Composer of the Year
- Fusion Release of the Year
- Indigenous Artist of the Year
- Roots Release of the Year
The public can vote for Fan’s Choice awards until March 14 at ECMA.com.
The East Coast Music Awards Gala is set to take place in St. John’s on May 8 and will feature performances by Shanneyganock, Jah’Mila with KAYO, Vishtèn, Kellie Loder, and more.
